COVID 19 Update for Brampton Lawn Bowlers

Greetings Fellow Brampton Lawn Bowling Club Members

Hopefully this note finds you and your families safe and healthy.

As the global pandemic continues around us in Brampton, it is indeed sad that our Club was not able to open for outdoor bowling this past summer season.  As you no doubt know, the City of Brampton wisely kept recreation centres and our greens facility closed all summer due to the Covid 19 virus.  Thus, despite the Ontario Lawn Bowls Association return to play guidelines that some Clubs were able to follow, our Brampton Club was not able to participate.

Participation in lawn bowling games along with our usual much enjoyed fun and friendship with fellow members has been deeply missed this summer.

Your Club Executive remain enthusiastically committed to ensuring that lawn bowling returns to our Club next season assuming that the pandemic is no longer with us.

As the virus spreads again this Fall, particularly in Peel Region, your Executive is monitoring the situation to determine if it will be possible to hold indoor Short Mats games as in previous years.  It is a possibility that there could be a shortened season starting in January, 2021.  Please monitor our blog for any further developments.

While we wait until we can bowl and socialize again together, please take care.

Until we can meet again in person,

Brampton Lawn Bowling Club Executive Committee
