Christmas Party is coming - Save the Date
Christmas is coming and party plans are underway at the Brampton Lawn Bowling Club.
Save the date for Saturday evening, November 29th.
Christmas dinner and fun at the clubhouse. More details to follow.

Short Mats Indoor Lawn Bowling - The Fun Continues !!!
Short mats season has started. Come and join the indoor fun every Thursday at 1:30 pm in the gym at Century Gardens Recreation Centre, Vodden Street in Brampton.
All adults welcome. Members and non-members alike. Cost is $5.00 per session which includes prizes and light refreshments. Bring your lawn bowls if you have a set or there are some sets to borrow.

Short Mats Indoor Season in Brampton
Short Mats indoor season at the Brampton Lawn Bowling Club will be starting very soon.
This year Brampton will play short mats on Thursday afternoons at 1:30 pm starting Thursday October 9, 2014 at the Century Gardens Recreation Complex gymnasium, Vodden Street in Brampton. Plan on coming at least 15 minutes early so that mixed triples teams can be drawn. There is a cost of $5.00 per session and that includes prizes and light refreshments. Bring your outdoor bowls to use.
All Club members are welcome. Anyone else interested in participating should contact the club at escapadfl@sympatico.ca
Enjoy testing your finesse skills in this fun and challenging version of our sport. As always it will be a great social afternoon.

September brings the close of the outdoor lawn bowling season for this year.
2014 season has been a super season for the members of the Brampton Lawn Bowling Club.

Playoff and championship games for all leagues are underway as we speak. Good luck to all the competitors.

Fabulous Day for the annual President's Trophy tournament
The President’s
Trophy lawn bowling tournament was held on July 26th 2014. It was
well attended and all reported having a great time. The president Donna Young
in her remarks noted how nice it was to have the weather cooperate as it turned
out to be a beautiful day for the event. The president thanked all those
present for participating in the event, she thanked Edith and Keith Wilson for
being the conveners as well she thanked Isabel Kennedy her team in ensuring
refreshments/sweets were prepared. This year’s winning team was skipped by our
last year champion skip Joe Kennedy his team this year included Evelyn Freer in
the vice position and Margaret Archibald in the lead position.

to the winners of the 2014 Presidents Trophy.

June Events a Huge Success
The Brampton Lawn Bowling Club greens have been filled with great fun and fellowship during the month of June. Despite some stormy weather, there have been many exciting games for all to enjoy in both league play and various jitneys.
June saw our first club tournament of the season and Brampton was pleased to host the District 9 Singles competition.
We finished the month with a full house for the annual Strawberry Mixed Jitney. After some impressive bowling on the greens, members enjoyed fabulous strawberry shortcake. Certainly an annual event not to be missed.
July will bring our traditional Canada Day play along with the prestige tournament for the President's Trophy.
It is never too late to join the fun. Interested in trying lawn bowling? Come on out or contact us. There is lots of bowling left to enjoy this season. See you on the greens.

June Events not to be Missed !
The Brampton Lawn Bowling Club is delighted to host the Ontario Lawn Bowling Association's District 9 Playdowns for Men's and Women's Singles Competition. Come out and see some of the best on our greens on June 7th and 8th.
Club members are encouraged to sign up for the Mixed Triples Club Tournament on June 21st.

Welcome Back to Brampton's Assisted Program Participants
The Brampton Lawn Bowling Club is delighted to welcome back all the participants in the assisted lawn bowling programs for Visually Impaired Bowlers, Special Needs Bowlers and Special Olympics Bowlers.

Strong start to the 2014 lawn bowling season in Brampton
The season is officially underway and the weather is cooperating with warmer temperatures. Perfect for lawn bowling !
The Brampton Lawn Bowling Club members have already enjoyed the Opening Day tournament and BBQ social along with the traditional bowling on Victoria Day.
Special greetings to our new members who are joining the fun this year. Welcome.

Thanks to All our Supporters for a Fabulous Open House Event
A huge thanks to all the supporters of the Brampton Lawn Bowling Club for a successful Open House Event this past weekend. We welcomed many interested new bowlers who enjoyed their experience on our greens and are delighted to say that many have already joined as new members.
Membership is still open for any others who would like to try this great sport and have some serious fun !!
Don't be shy and come on out.
A special vote of appreciation goes out to the Brampton Beast Marketing Team and the Beast Mascot "Boomer". Boomer and his friends joined us Sunday afternoon and were a great addition to the activities on the greens. Boomer may have found a new summer sport !

START OF SEASON OPEN HOUSE - Save the date !!
All Adults Welcome !! Come and see the facility and try out lawn bowling on our greens. Our season starts in early May. Our Annual Open House is Saturday May 3rd and Sunday May 4th from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm and Monday May 5th from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Come out and have some serious fun. It is curling on grass and a great way to meet new friends, enjoy the summer and get some exercise. See you there.
